The horizontal shaft assembly is an important part of the crusher. The power is transferred to the eccentric assembly through the horizontal shaft assembly, which drives the high-speed swing of the spindle assembly to squeeze the broken material.
Adjusting gear mesh
Measure the thickness of the horizontal axle box gasket before removing the pinion shaft. By increasing or reducing the thickness of the gasket, the meshing trace of the big and small gear can be adjusted to achieve the ideal meshing state.
How to measure gear backlash
Because the gear clearance cannot be measured directly by the size of the gear, the gear clearance is calculated by measuring the amount of movement on the pulley. It is usually measured by a dial indicator.
Because there is a certain gap between the lower body bushing and the eccentric sleeve, the gear gap will change with the different positions of the eccentric sleeve.
Horizontal shaft
In order to get the gear clearance correctly, we need to measure four times, turn the pinion to keep the big gear rotated 90 degrees for each measurement, and the average of these four times is the actual clearance value.
Due to the bearing clearance of the pinion, it is necessary to pull the pulley and pinion shaft outward when measuring the gear clearance, and the bolts on the pinion box flange must be tightened.
The following formula can be used to check the gear clearance: Displacement on the outer diameter of the pulley =A*B/C
Gear backlash adjustment method
Because the horizontal axle box is mounted eccentrically, the gear clearance can be adjusted by turning the position of the horizontal axle box.
(1) First loosen the bolts fixing the horizontal axle box, loosen the paper gasket flange face of the gearbox, and the gear clearance can be adjusted as follows:
(2) Adjust the adjusting block downward to increase the gear clearance (that is, clockwise)
(3) Adjust the adjusting block upward to reduce the gear clearance (that is, counterclockwise)
(4) After adjusting to the correct gear clearance, tighten the gear box fixing bolt and lock the adjusting bolt. Check the gear meshing clearance again.
